A video of Angad, who was present with Sanjana to support Bumrah, went viral, with some users mocking his neutral facial expression and making inappropriate comments, including references to mental health.

Taking to Instagram, Sanjana condemned the trolling, stating unequivocally, “Our son is NOT a topic for your entertainment.” She emphasized that both she and Bumrah work hard to keep Angad away from the toxic environment of social media and criticized those making baseless assumptions about their child based on a fleeting moment. Sanjana also called out the irresponsible use of terms like “trauma” and “depression” in reference to their 1.5-year-old son, urging people to refrain from projecting such narratives onto a child.
