Joshua Bishop, the orthodox left-arm spinner, received his maiden call-up as West Indies named a 15-member Test squad for the two-match series against Pakistan, scheduled to be played in Trinidad from July 25 to August 6, on Thursday.

Bishop has picked 91 wickets for Barbados Pride and West Indies Academy across the past three West Indies Championship seasons, the highest tally by any bowler during that period.

Meanwhile, Kirk McKenzie has also earned a recall to the side for the after two years following an injury to opener John Campbell, who was ruled out due to a left hamstring strain he sustained during the recently concluded One-Day International series against New Zealand. McKenzie scored 323 runs in six innings at an average of 64.60 in the recent West Indies Championship.

Meanwhile, Alzarri Joseph was unavailable for selection due to personal reasons.

The opening match of the series will be played at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy from July 25-29. It will be the first Test match ever staged at the venue, making it the 13th ground in the region to host Test cricket. The second encounter will take place at the historic Queen's Park Oval from August 2-6.

West Indies are currently placed eighth on the ICC WTC table, while Pakistan are placed last.
